the prevention of disability

On 1 December a brave, Johann Odendaal, will leave the Union Buildings
in Pretoria to walk to Cape Town in aid of the QuadPara Association of
South Africa (QASA). His goal is to raise awareness and funds for QASA’s road
safety awareness campaigns. This 1800 km walk will take 2 months.
Johann began walking because of a passion for adventure and it evolved
into a Project aimed at giving back to the community. “I’m walking
because I can. I’m walking because I have to. I’m walking because there are
people who can’t, but I can.”
QASA is a co-ordinating, policy-making, governing and supporting organisation.
The Association strives to prevent spinal cord injury, as well as protect and
promote the interests of people with mobility impairments by formulating a
national policy and strategy, to develop and ensure the full potential and
quality of their lives.
Project KAAPSTAP, is a personal venture aimed at aiding QASA in their
spinal cord injury prevention campaigns.
